(aka Baptisia x variicolor ‘Twilite’)

Deep violet, bicolor pea-shaped flowers with lemon-yellow keels, blooming late spring to early summer above blue-green foliage. Spikes of black seed pods which rattle appear on the plant in late fall and make a striking display. Deer and rabbit resistant while also being tolerant to drought, dry soil, clay soil, and rocky soil. Best used on banks, borders, slopes and prairie or meadows. Native hybrid.
