They are the perfect solution for use under leggy shrubs or under trees with competing roots tolerating dry shade. Leaves are attached to wiry stems and can be evergreen, semi-evergreen or deciduous depending on the species. Evergreen/semi-evergreen are likely native to Mediterranean areas while the deciduous are native to China.
