This rare but easy-to-grow endangered native species from East Texas has proven hardy for us when grown as liners in our field beds. The four-inch flowers are white with a deep red eye held above a background of 3-lobed thread-like foliage. Originally raised from 2 pods of seed from Steve Castorani of North Creek Nurseries. Prefers a damp, sunny location but adapts to average garden soil.
