Enormous mounded flower heads appear in July starting in shades of green similar to H. p. ‘Limelight’ but much larger. The color soon changes to pure white and by late summer changes to shades of pink. The largest flower heads of any hydrangea we have seen are held on strong stems making an amazing show in the garden. Species is native to China and Japan.
